Route: Chengdu Panda Base-China Attractions: Chengdu Panda Base see lovely pandas, and visit Giant Panda Museum. Itinerary In the morning, our tour guide will pick up you in your hotel, drive about 30 minutes to Chengdu Panda Base-- Panda Breeding and Research Center, and go to have a visit of Giant Panda Museum, see the lovely tender pandas, take pictures with a panda in your arms by donating some money for panda base. After earthquake, 8 pandas were sent to here from Wolong. And in this hard time your help is so much important for giant pandas. When all activities are over we will drive back to the hotel before the lunch time, then end of tour.

Chengdu Research Base of
Giant Panda Breeding is situated on the Axe Hill 10 kilometers from the north
suburb of Chengdu City. It covers an area of 600 acres. The environment here is
exquisitely designed; the air is refreshing with the bamboo growing luxuriantly
and flocks of wild birds flying around. There are 39 giant pandas and tens of
specious animals such as red pandas and black-necked cranes. The Giant Panda
Museum, Butterfly Exhibit Hall and Vertebrae Animal Exhibit are located in the
Base. Besides, there are also restaurants, entertainment places and conference
facilities with special characteristics in the Base. Chengdu Research Base of
Giant Panda Breeding is the most famous conservation and protection center for
giant pandas and "State Science Popularization Base". What's more, it is the
most ideal ecological tourism place for visitors all around world to get to know
the appearance of giant pandas and to get around the wild nature. It was awarded
"Global 500" twice by the U N in the year of 1989 and 1994.
Friends from all around the worlds, with the love towards giant pandas and the wild nature and respect of life, walk into this green field. Some of them come to visit the lovely giant pandas, some are doing conservation research, some are planting a young tree here and some are giving their love towards the giant pandas. The visitors are becoming more and more with each passing year. They express the same wish. Due to the excessive exploration and destruction of human beings towards nature, the old and beautiful animals like giant pandas are put into a endangered situation now and human beings are beginning to realize the subsequent loneliness. From now on, we are trying to show more care and concern to the endangered animals. People expect that through this method, giant pandas, black-necked cranes and golden monkeys will be freed to fields one day. |
