How to be Volunteer in Wolong or Bifengxia for Giant Panda and other
reserves:
If you want to become a volunteer,You should serve the following things:
a. The
healthy certificate from a normal
hospital.
b. The self-introduction, if you have the volunteer experience, please
write them down.
c. The copy of ID card, if not adult, serves the copy of the guardians ID
card.
d. The copy of your last diploma.
e. All of your contact details, address, zip code, E-mail, telephone, Fax.
The more, the better.
The information can be sent to Wolong (Bifengxia) Research and Conservation Centre.
After all of them be checked, they will contact with you. And then date a
certain day, come to Wolong (Bifengxia), then all the work will be arranged!
Also, this program can be arranged in other reserves and researching house
as similar as well.

The different kinds of volunteers:
1. The assistant of panda
keeper
There will be a short days training. The time depends on the training steps.
a. There is one keeper will become your teacher, and please do what the
teacher ask you to do.
b. Clean the bedroom and the garden for the panda bears.
c. Prepare food, such as: carrot, apples, panda bread and biscuit. Also
carry the bamboo.
d. Sometimes, you should help the scientists to collect the behavior data.
e. Sometimes, you should help the veterinary to do the medicine care for the
panda.
2. The clerk of Wolong Panda Club
There will be a short days training. The time depends on the training steps.
a. The typist, help the staff type the documents.
b. The translator, translate the web pages, and some daily documents.
c. The web designer, help the staff design and develop the website.

The interpreter of panda garden
There will be a short days training. The time depends on the training steps.
a. Introduce the giant panda research, such as: the breeding, hand-rearing,
Husbandry, enrichment and so on.
b. Introduce the giant panda research cooperation, such as: with The States,
Japan, Austria, Thailand and so on, also the development of all of these
co-operations.
c. Introduce all the giant pandas, the different habit, behavior, experience
of each giant panda.
d. Introduce all the buildings and their function.
e. Tell the stories of the giant panda for the visitors.
Attention:
If you hurt yourself by disobey your teacher, that s not responsibility of
Wolong.
a. If you break some instrument by disobey your teacher, you should pay for
a new one.
b. The volunteers are the assistants of the keeper or clerk, if they allow
the teacher s words, they haven t obligation to take responsibility for any
accident happened.
Service Charge:
Service charge for the permit 25USD/p.p. by our corp.
Volunteering
coordinating Fee:
55USD/person/day charged by the Reserves.
Accommodation(2*):
40USD/person/day for accommodation and meals as in Panda hotel.
30USD/room/night for accommodation only in Panda hotel or Sitongyuan hotel.

Working hours for volunteer depend on yourself.
Other Cost
Transfer of Chengdu a'port-Wolong (Bifengxia) Researching Center, single way, cost
150USD with guide service; Chengdu-Wolong (Bifengxia) by public bus, cost
10USD,
departure daily from 01Apr to 31Oct..
Hotel in Chengdu-a'port single way transfers cost: 45USD for car only, 55USD
for car and guide service.
English Interpreter or English speaking guide service in Wolong (Bifengxia), 45USD/day;
Jinhe hotel (3*) in Chengdu, 50USD/room/night with b'fast.
Notice
All volunteers must obey the regulation of this Researching Center and
China's Law, and working directed by leaders and scientist of this
Researching Center.
Donation-Pictures
Program
if you want take pictures with pandas hand-in-hand or in arms,
you should donate money for panda.
before picture with pandas in arms, you must under the guidance of local
expert: wash your hand, be sure your are healthy, enter enclosure,
shoot........
1、You can take 1-2 pictures with a 2 year old panda within 20 seconds if you
donate 300RMB per person.
2、You can take 1-2 pictures with a 1-2 year old panda within 20 seconds if you
donate 500RMB per person.
3、You can play with 1- 3 pandas and take pictures within 5 minutes if
donate 1000RMB per person.
4、You can give a shower to a 1-2 year old panda and take pictures within 5
minutes if you donate 1500RMB per person.
5、You can try to feed milk to a 1 year old panda and take pictures if you
donate 1000RMB per person.（The hour is around 10:40 AM.or 15:40PM）;
You can try to wash giant pandas with panda's shampoo
and take pictures if you donate 1500RMB per person.
6、You can watch the video with the panda’s estrus 、mating、birth and growing
around 20 minutes if you donate 100RMB per person.
7、You can follow the teacher’s instruction to feed the panda and take
pictures if you donate 100RMB per person.
8、You can listen to the lecture by the expert with the panda’s estrus
、mating、birth 、growing and information about earthquake around 30 minutes
if you donate 500RMB below 20 person per time.
9、You can plant bamboo in the kindness garden if you donate 100RMB per
bamboo per person; You also can plant tree in the kindness garden if you
donate 300RMB per tree per person.
10、 Physical examination qualified can be assistant of panda keeper here
（Clean the bedroom and the garden for the giant panda）.The management
fee is 100 RMB per day per person,and you need pay 150RMB renting one
cloth（within 7 days）/300RMB renting two clothes (more than 7days, include
7days)for your working.
11、Physical examination qualified can be special assistant of panda chef
here(prepare food, such as: carrot, apples, panda bread and biscuit. Also
carry the bamboo).The management fee is 300 RMB per day per person,and you
need pay 150RMB renting one cloth（within 7 days）/300RMB renting two clothes
(more than 7days, include 7days)for your working.
And once your finished above donation-picture project, you will get a
Donation Certificate.

Joining the panda club, you can adopt panda in Wolong and Bifengxia. The
