30 Days Volunteer (26days) for Giant Panda in Wolong reserve
Tour Code: P-V-3001 Departure Date: Daily Duration: 30 Days Route: Chengdu - Wolong - Chengdu - China Attractions: Chengdu Panda Base, Giant Panda Enclosure and Giant Panda Ecology Museum, volunteering in Wolong, visit Hetaoping Researching House. Then come back to Chengdu, visit Wangjiang Bamboo Park, Wenshu Temple, shopping. Itinerary Day 01: arrived in Chengdu Arrive in Chengdu where is the jumping-off point for the tour. You can ordain the first day by yourself. Also you can take a relaxation in the hotel and enjoy Chengdu's night piece. (D) Day 02: Chengdu-Wolong Firstly, we will go to Chengdu
Panda Base meet the beloved giant panda. After that we'll drive to Wolong
(143 km from Chengdu). It takes about 4 hours to get to Wolong. Then visit
Giant Panda Enclosure and Ecology Museum (Giant Panda Museum) in the
afternoon. So you can fully realize the Enclosure is so important for panda
this endangered species. In there most of the giant pandas stay individually
in the captive cages. Each enclosure consists of an indoor room and an
outdoor courtyard. And Ecology Museum (Giant Panda Museum) will give your a
further knowledge about pandas. At night stay in Wolong, where have more
fresh air than city. (B/L/D) Day 03 - Day 28: Volunteering in Wolong These days are scheduled for the work as a giant panda volunteer. The work usually runs from 8:00 to 11:30. And the afternoon session is from 2:00 to 5:30. Different kinds of jobs will be arranged for you, such as cleaning panda's cages and enclosures, feeding panda with fresh bamboo, doing paper work for Giant Panda Club or interpreting in Panda Garden. Work is hard but you can get a close touch with giant panda. At the same time visiting Hetaoping Researching House. Surely, overnight in Wolong. (B) Day 29: Wolong - Chengdu The time in the morning is free. You can arrange it as you like. After have a lunch in Wolong, We will go back to Chengdu. And spend night in Chengdu. (B/L/D)
Day 16: Chengdu Today we will have a Visit to Chengdu's Wangjiang Bamboo Park. Bamboo is panda's favorite, but different kinds of bamboos planted in park is not for food but for view. Wenshu Temple is another destination, where is a famous Buddha temple in China. At the same time we will do some shopping. After lunch go to airport. Then all services ends. (B/L)
