The Transfer for Pandas from Wolong to Bifengxia     2008-6-19

At 9:10 of tomorrow night 3 super-long truck secretly arrive in Ya’an Bifengxia Panda Base. This is the forth time transfer for Wolong pandas after earth quake. The authorities refused to disclose any information to the public.

However, according to the insiders said, there were about 13 pandas were moved to Bifengxia at tomorrow night. Next more pandas in Wolong will be transferred to Bifengxia. All of this was done for giant pandas’ security.
Before the earth quake, there were 22 pandas in Bifengxia. After that there were 28 pandas till 23th of May. In the future the number of panda in Bifengxia will be expected to 49.
And China Wild Animal Protection said, they will re-plan the new site for Wolong Nature Reserve and Panda Base. It is possible for the Base in Huangcaoping Gengda village where laid foundation in April of this year to get into new base.
